One of the country’s most experienced media, issues, crisis and communication coaches, Susan has been providing training for 20 years.
She started on Radio 2GB’s breakfast show, before moving to the Canberra Press Gallery in the mid-80s as 2UE’s federal political reporter. In 1988 she worked in New York as a foreign correspondent, and then in London for the Austereo Network, while also being news editor at a London commercial radio station, LBC.
After a decade as a political reporter and foreign correspondent, Susan returned to Australia and was co-developer of the Media Skills™ methodology, and co-founders of Media Skills™ Network.
Susan’s own clients span three tiers of government and several states and territories. She has particular expertise in working in the Northern Territory.
Susan also works across a broad range of corporates listed locally and internationally.
She has a large commitment to providing training for the community and non-profit sector, and holds non-executive directorships with NGOs in the women’s health sector and aged care sector.
Her qualifications include a BA (Communication) in journalism and psychology from the University of Technology Sydney, Level 2 of 4MAT training design and additional adult learning credentials.
